This charming newly renovated villa Maison La Calade juts two kilometres south of the centre of Fontvieille consisting of six bedrooms comfortably accommodating up to twelve guests

Open plan kitchen well equipped with electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer and Nespresso machine and French window to the terrace and with the external dinning area. A laundry room just beyond the kitchen. There are three bedrooms with air-conditioning and patio doors to the of terrace and gardens one large bedroom Queen size bed with en-suite shower room the other a small double and a twin bedroom with intercommunicating with shower room and independent WC

 

There is an Annex with three additional air-condition bedrooms with two small double beds and one further twin bedroom all with showers and WC


Outside the garden fully enclosed with Olive trees and Mediterranean scented plants surrounding several Covered terrace and al-fresco dining area with two tables terraces and a comfy easy seating area

Heated pool 8m x 3m with a depth 1.50m, protected by an alarm and next to is a pergola with sun beds. A summer kitchen with Plancha BBQ, fridge freezer, additional fridge, fryer, ice-maker and Nespresso machine. There is a pétanques / boule pitch and ample parking including a carport.


The village of Fontvieille only a few minutes’ drive 2 kilometres away is a lively charming classical little village with all amenities, cafes and restaurants including the supermarket

To the south there is the wonderful city of Arles is known for its fine architecture and fascinating Roman remains, particularly the Amphitheatre that now hosts plays and concerts. Vincent Van Gogh loved this city that inspired numerous works of art during his short time here, including the famous Café la Nuit depicting the Place du Forum. The city is full of museums and galleries and there is a great market on Wednesday & Saturday morning. There are also wonderful dining opportunities from pavement cafes to fine food restaurants.
To the west is Saint Remy de Provence capital of the Alpilles, it has it all the amenities, boulangeries, little boutiques, quaint pavement cafes and excellent restaurants, its winding cobbled lanes you will discover the small squares, historic buildings, churches and museums and on Wednesday the colourful weekly market will offer the opportunity to discover local products and handicrafts which is a must to see.

 

The landscape in this region is particularly picturesque, encompassing rolling hills dotted with quaint hilltop villages and countless hiking trails, extensive sunflower fields, olive groves. This region is steep with history with plenty of sites to visit such as Les Baux de Provence is considered 'one of the most beautiful villages in France, Avignon, Nîmes and Uzès and the are other towns you can easily visit in a day, and at only 30 minutes' drive and to the east is the Luberon region. Further south of Arles is the Camargue’s unique wetland region populated by pink flamingos and wild horses and bulls.
