Built in keeping with traditional style, the interior of the Mas is of high quality and generates a peaceful atmosphere with a wonderful balance of old and new features which creates charm and warmth. The interior is an elegant blend of antiques and good quality furniture and very tastefully decorated with modern touches. The accommodation is on two levels, the main living area consisting of a large living room with a piano opening to a scenic balcony, a separate dining room and a very well equipped modern kitchen with breakfast area opening onto a large covered terrace. Also on this floor a separate WC and two double bedrooms (one with a terrace) which share a bathroom with WC.
On the lower level are
two double bedrooms, the master bedroom with double bed, dressing and a large
en-suite bathroom with a separate shower, WC Sauna and a hamman, this bedroom
opens up to the garden. The second bedroom has a double bed with en-suite
shower room with WC and opens up to a verandah and garden.
Finally there is the annex,
with external access only and contains a kitchenette and a double bedroom and
bathroom with WC
The Mas was built by a Belgium architect in 2001 to integrate with its spectacular setting in the Valle des Baux at the foot of the Alpilles hills. The location is a heaven of peace and there are panoramic views from the terraces and pool area. A large covered terrace provides a pleasant dinning area and extends onto a smaller uncovered decked terrace overlooking the garden. To the side of the Mas is a shady garden with a stone fountain, ideal for relaxing on hot summer afternoons. The large pool 15 x 6 m has an electric cover and set in a large terrace with sun loungers and a covered seating area. There is a pool house with a sink, fridge shower and WC with a sauna as well.
Mouriès, just 3km away, has shops, supermarkets and five restaurants, while a wider choice is available in St-Rémy-de-Provence, 14km away.
