Castello San Giovanni in San Giovanni d’Asso is a notable, historic residence set over several levels, elegantly furnished with antiques and typical Tuscan furnishings. The Castello itself enjoys a village location with majestic view across the Tuscan countryside. It is within close proximity other properties, but still retains its privacy.

There is an elegant traditional Italian garden complete with lemon trees, a lawn and a 12 m x 6 m pool with a terrace and sun loungers. Inside, the reception rooms are decorated in a classic Tuscan style and the bedrooms are comfortable and well furnished. It has 8 bedrooms with 7 bathrooms accommodating up to 16 guests.

This ancient village of San Giovanni d'Asso with historical connections dating as far back as the Etruscans has a restaurant, café/bar, supermarket, bakery and butcher. In addition, the castle hosts a white truffle market each year.

Slightly further afield is the town of San Quirico d' Orcia 18km whilst Montalcino (famous for its wine) and the Renaissance town of Pienza are only 17 km.

There are many other places to visit such as Siena, Montepulciano and a little further Florence, Arrezo or Perugia.
