'Villa Bigau' located in a residential area less than 2 kilometres away from Saint Remy de Provence city centre, it is a comfortable and well decorated villa (130 sqm) all on one level with A/C in its 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, swimming pool  and a small enclosed (800 sqm) garden.

 

Small entrance hall which leads to the central open plan living area overlooks the pretty landscaped garden and fountain, and has been well decorated with many paintings and works of art.
The house living space is organised around an open plan central living area made up of 
a sitting area, with a decorative fireplace, sofas and armchairs, satellite TV, I-Pod docking station.

A fully equipped kitchen with a kitchen island. completely renovated top-of-the-line kitchen. Appliances include, 6-burner gas stove and oven, small fridge in kitchen and full size in pantry, dish washer, toaster, and coffee maker.

The dining area seating up to 10 persons. It has direct access to the West Terrace.

In addition, there is a cellar / laundry room with washing machine, dryer, iron, large freezer and fridge.

There are 3 good size A/C bedrooms, within which two have a fireplace.

Master bedroom suite with Queen Size canopy bed with en-suite bathroom with large shower, sinks and Wc, built-in wardrobe.

The second and third bedroom has a queen size bed, built-in wardrobe, they share a large bathroom with bath, separate shower and Wc.

 

The garden has been completely replanted and landscaped including: a large pergola area with table and chairs for shaded lunch and 'al fresco' dining with BBQ and a side terrace with table and chairs which is ideal for outdoor breakfast.

By the swimming pool (8 m x 3.5 m - secured by an alarm system) there is a nice pool beach with deck chairs to soak up the Provencal sun.

 

This region has plenty to offer, the lively village of St Rémy walking distance is a charming classical little town, capital of the Alpilles with all the amenities, boulangeries, little boutiques, quaint pavement cafes and excellent restaurants, its winding cobbled lanes you will discover the small squares, historic buildings, churches and museums and on Wednesday the colourful weekly market will offer the opportunity to discover local products and handicrafts which is a must to see.

 

A little further north of St Rémy is the magnificent walled city of Avignon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which boasts the gothic “Palace of the Popes”, a wonder not to be missed. Awe-inspiring Roman buildings and ruins are scattered everywhere in this Ancient Roman Province, the impressive triple-tiered aqueduct of the Pont du Gard and the massive arena in Arles are certainly worth a visit. Further southwest, under an hour’s drive, is the Camargue National Park, a fascinating wetland known for its pink flamingos, fighting bulls and wild horses, and which offers opportunities
