This solar property can be discovered in a bucolic setting. The farmhouse is revealed behind a huge centuries-old plane tree which offers it a benevolent shade during the hottest hours of summer. Under this generous protection unfolds the long south-facing terrace onto which the farmhouse opens.
On the eastern side, a beautiful building, twinned with the farmhouse, is totally out of sight, thanks to its high walls, and very appropriate vegetation.
An idyllic haven, the space reserved for relaxation and sharing is furnished with as much care as the interior of the house. The pool house…………. The swimming pool enjoys a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. Its 11 m long x 5 m wide are underlined by a beach in… and bordered on the north side by a lawned area on which comfortable deckchairs are installed. A few steps below … a "Pagnolesque" petanque ground to play beautiful games of boules.
The local village you can find all you need (fresh fruit and vegetables, meat from the local farms, delicious breads, and even your usual newspaper) in the two villages of Boulbon or Barbentane, less than 6 minutes driving.
The local village of Barbentane has a picturesque old centre with pretty cafes and restaurants, a boulangerie and grocery shop. Also you can visit Château de Barbentane, the "Trianon of Provence" with rare eighteenth century furniture
To the south is the lively village of St Rémy de Provence just 15 kilometres is a charming classical little town, capital of the Alpilles with all the amenities, boulangeries, little boutiques, quaint pavement cafes and excellent restaurants, its winding cobbled lanes you will discover the small squares, historic buildings, churches and museums and on Wednesday the colourful weekly market will offer the opportunity to discover local products and handicrafts which is a must to see. Further south Les Baux de Provence is considered 'one of the most beautiful villages in France, Arles, Nîmes, Pont du Gard and Uzès and other towns you can easily visit in a day, and at less than 45 minutes' drive and to the east is the Luberon region and further south, Camargue’s unique wetland populated by pink flamingos and wild horses
Avignon to the north with its UNESCO world heritage site, with it’s magnificent Palais du Papes, which is one of the architectural wonders of France is just 12 kilometres away and would make an ideal day trip. Just north of Avignon is the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region for wine lovers as well.
The TGV (fast-speed train) is only 10' away and the international airport of Marseilles 75' by car.
