If you’re looking to hunker down in safety, you can’t do much better than having the mountains behind you and the sea in front. At least that’s what the Dalmatian nobility thought when faced with the threat of Ottoman invasion in the 15th and 16th centuries. One after the other, rich families from Split headed to the 20km stretch of coast between Trogir and Split to build their sturdy mansions, until a total of 17 castles and towers were built, some with fortified villages attached. The Turks never reached them and many of the castles remain today. Kaštela is now a municipality in its own right, incorporating seven separate little harbour towns, each named after a castle, which together form the second-largest settlement in Split-Dalmatia County. Kaštel Kambelovac is one of the seven beautiful old settlements and with its beauty, this area has attracted people since time immemorial. As you descend from the parking area, you will enter an elegant foyer, the central point of a bright, open-concept space spreading over two levels and separated by a staircase. The foyer is modern, yet comfortable with soft furnishings and mirror decorating the walls. The lower level is an open-flow space comprised of a chic living room with fireplace, dining area with custom made table, beautiful kitchen with island equipped with all modern appliances - which will make preparing meals for family and friends an unforgettable experience. Food freshly prepared in the kitchen can be served either inside, or on the shaded terrace with an al fresco dining table. On this floor, next to the main entrance to the villa, there is a beautiful and comfortable bedroom with a king size bed. There is also a bathroom with shower.

The internal wooden staircase leads up to the first floor where you will find lounge area with two elegant sofas – ideal place for meditate and reading a book. Three comfortable double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms with a shower and a sea view have found their place on this floor. One of the rooms is master bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, walk-in wardrobe and a private terrace overlooking the sea horizon and which from the waterfall overflows into the pool and creates an impression of glamor.

Spread across the length of the house with unrestricted views of the sea, outdoor patio is the place to settle down with a glass of wine, close family and a plate of Dalmatian delicacies. Local Information:
UNESCO protected city of Trogir is a medieval city, surrounded by walls, which consists of preserved castle, tower and series of houses and palaces from the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods. Trogir is connected to all major European cities by its well organised infrastructure of air, road, and maritime companies. Airport Split is only 5 km away, which makes Trogir an ideal holiday destination. The nearby city of Split, the second largest city in Croatia and the capital of Dalmatia is just 30 minutes of driving away and offers many musical and cultural manifestations, as well as its most prominent sight – the palace of the Roman emperor Diocletian, around which the city was built.

Kaštela are picturesque little towns of the central Dalmatia, between Split and Trogir. Under the name Kaštela seven interconnected little towns are hidden lined up along the shore of the Kaštela Bay. They are by name: Štafilić, Novi, Stari, Lukšić, Kambelovac, Gomilica and Sućurac. The history of Kaštela goes back all the way to the Neanderthals (remains found in the Mujina Cave), later they thrive economically and as a civilization under the authority of Greece and Rome, next came the Croats, then the Venetian authority, and so on to the present day. The witnesses to this envious history are the remains of ancient villa's, Early Croatian Churches, castles. One of the most beautiful promenades stretches between Kaštel Gomilica and Kaštel Lukšić.
