Villa Archipel, is perched on the highest point of Fira, the capital of Santorini, united around a luxuriant, sun-drenched courtyard with various alfresco seating and dining areas. The nature and flow of the compound lends itself to freedom of movement and privacy for all.

 

Villa Archipel, family owned for centuries, boasts a rich history. The house has been refurbished taking the form of a contemporary interpretation of the neo-classical style, which was popular amongst the affluent inhabitants of the island around the 19th century.

 

Highlights of the home include striking domes, thick walls and vaulted ceilings – the symbiosis of old and new results in an atmosphere of understated luxury and authenticity, beyond spaces.

 

Upon entering the villa ones immediately drawn to the inviting living room with large windows and doors leading out to the veranda and that all-inspiring view.
The kitchen is simple and fully equipped with modern features, perfect to enjoy preparing breakfast and light meals in this charming environment.

You will find two double en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor with the third double bedroom up a short flight of stairs, delighting its occupants with an uninterrupted view of the Caldera.

All bedrooms are fully air-conditioned and two of the bedrooms can be converted to twin bedded rooms. The great design of the villa allows for easy access and a great indoor-outdoor flow, allowing you to enjoy the out-of-doors living, which lazy summers on an Aegean island are all about.

 

The Studio next to the Main House with it’s own easily accessible private entrance, consisting of double bedroom which has a light and airy feel with an en-suite bathroom, kitchenette and private veranda with al fresco seating area.

 

Fira is the capital of Santorini. It can be found on the west coast of the island, on the Caldera cliffs opposite the volcano. Modern day Fira is the cultural and commercial center of the island.

 

There is much about Fira worth looking at. Apart from the museums, galleries and cultural events, it has the island’s largest shopping center. Fira heads the nightlife section – many bars and cafes are actually on the Caldera, whilst other, as well as the large clubs, are tucked into the quant cobbled streets weaving through the town. The whole of Fira is connected by a footpath at the cliffs edge that starts just above the Archaeological museum and finishes up on the hill at the Nomikos Centre. The volcano can be seen from every point, as can the mesmerising sunsets. Sunset time in Santorini seems to be the only hour of the day when everything and everyone stops moving.
