This farmhouse with it Annex, with a total area of 450 m2 on 2 levels, completely renovated, extends over an area of 1 hectare. This Bastide is located 2 km from the village of Ménerbes in the heart of the Luberon.

 

This authentic Bastide offers a charming interior combined with luxurious comfort, with 7 rooms, 2 bathrooms with bath, 4 walk-in, showers, 6 WC with sleeping capacity 14/ 15 guests overlooking 3 courtyards with dining table in each yard.

 

Spacious living room the magnificent vaulted architecture and floor-slabs carved in local stone give the sitting-room a warm atmosphere the stone and the thickness of the walls ensure an ideal temperature, even on the hottest of summer days. The contours of the walls are revealed by the light from the garden, which filters through the large bay windows that open out on to the patio. The sitting room is equipped with a television, DVD player and stereo system and high-speed internet access is available in the adjoining office-library area.

There is an Annex with external entrance with a seating room kitchen and on the upper floor two bedrooms one small double and the other two small twins beds

 

The garden, the green spaces create an oasis of peace in harmony with the aesthetics of the farmhouse. The environment invites you to reverie under the cloister or on the stone benches here and there, under the trees waiting for idle visitors looking for shade under the foliage.

The various terraces allow everyone, even if we are many, to isolate themselves before ending up under the patio, at the table for dinners up to 16 people. Real rooms to live, they offer friendly places, large enough to accommodate tables, chairs, deckchairs, entrance courtyard deliciously shaded, terrace in front of the suite on the ground floor, patio in front of the living room with table and stone benches, covered terrace in front of the pool, with long tables for 16 people.

The house surrounded by oaks and bamboos, offers a beautiful panorama on the Luberon to enjoy from the large heated pool of 6 x 12m, with Californian beach, depth up to 2.40m (opening end April & closing end of September 28) surrounded by a large stone beach, it is equipped with a motorised roller shutter + child safety bracelets.

Built on a hilltop, Menerbes just 2 kilometres is surrounded by stunning scenery, offering splendid views. Visits to Menerbes are particularly interesting since it has preserved many vestiges of its past. In addition to the ramparts, we can find traces of its ancient history, including the Dolmen of Pichouno, a unique standing stone in the Vaucluse, which proves that Menerbes was inhabited in prehistoric times.

The Mas is also surrounded by other stunning villages in the Luberon such as, Bonnieux and Gordes and Cabrières d'Avignon where their are excellent restaurant such as “Le Vieux Bistrot” in Cabrières d'Avignon  with a enclosed garden to eat al fresco which was famously mentioned by author Peter Mayle.

There are many weekly markets in most villages including the excellent farmers' market selling fruit, vegetables, flowers and wine in Coustellet on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.,

Other villages such as, Fontaines de Vaucluse, Apt are an absolute must to visit as well if you are seeking to experience the essence of Provence, and don't miss the pretty village of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, with its canals, narrow streets and antiques market.


For a change of pace, the wonderfully vibrant and historic town of Avignon, with its magnificent Palais du Papes, is one of the architectural wonders of France is just 35 kilometres away and would make an ideal day trip
