Dar Mauresque, a beautifully designed villa with distinctive charm, is the perfect retreat after sightseeing in the vibrant souks and visits to the historic architecture of Marrakech, or following an excursion by road to the dramatic landscape of the High Atlas Mountains or mountain-walking in the breathtaking Ourika Valley close by. Villa Mauresque was recently featured in House & Garden magazine.

Less than 30 minutes from Marrakech, Dar Mauresque is found in a near magical setting. A spacious one-level house of recent origin, comprising four, air-conditioned suites, each with its own fireplace and shuttered windows and all enclosed by individual private terraces with double beds, King size and Queen size. The surroundings are complemented by a bespoke landscaped garden, comprising mature olive trees, vegetable garden, and orange, lemon and pomegranate trees.

All bedrooms are sensitively designed around a traditional courtyard with fountain. To the stylish interior, leading onto a lovely shaded terrace, the furnishings have been created to reflect significant Moroccan design influences to spectacular effect. The roof-top terrace provides an unrivalled, all-round perspective of the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas mountain range, and form the ideal backdrop for dispensing drinks.

You will also find a separate large dining room with AC and chimney.

Out side Dar Mauresque offers a 14 x 5m outdoor swimming pool heated on request with shaded seating space and fully equipped pool house.

Outside pétanque/ boule court and a patio with a fountain. There is ample private parking.

Permanent members of house staff are available throughout the period of stay, including a resident Moroccan chef who will prepare classic Moroccan and European cuisine. Meals feature fresh produce from the garden, served on elegant linens and china.

 MUSTAPHA, house manager. He speaks Arabic, French and English.

MADJA, Cook/housekeeper. She speaks Arabic and French. She will be in residence throughout the guests stay, 24 hours. She will prepare all meals, drinks and supervise the running and cleaning of the house and the pool.
ZARA, maid. She speaks Arabic only. She assists Maja and cleans all the rooms.
OMAR, gardener/guardian. He speaks Arabic only. Responsible for the garden, pool and all terraces. He is also responsible for opening and closing the gate.
