Description

Located a few minutes walk from the center village of Paradou, the Mas Paradou is located on a property of 7000m2. offer to its guests a complete luxury during their stay. This old farmhouse has been renovated with quality materials, while preserving the authenticity of its history and its environment.

With five bedrooms in the main house, two large living spaces and a beautifully spacious kitchen (with back work and storage space, a cold room...),The Mas offers you several relaxing spaces for family or groups of friends. Two magnificent living rooms open onto the terrace and the garden are on either side of the kitchen. A large covered terrace with a dining area for 12 people, a BBQ wood grill.


A second outdoor terrace shaded by a wooden arbour planted with jasmines. Comfortable garden furniture, sun loungers and a dining area with a view of the swimming pool. A swimming pool of 18 x 6m secured by an electric shutter and a salt treatment. The pool-house has a kitchenette, a refrigerator, a plancha, a bar counter


There are many interesting villages nearby such as St. Remy de Provence, the birthplace of the 16th Century astrologer Nostradamus and just outside the town is the impressive Greco-Roman archaeological site of Glanum.  Also nearby is the beautiful retreat where Van Gough painted. Villages such as Les Baux de Provence and Fontvielle and the remote and mysterious wetlands of the Camargue (one of Europe’s most important nature reserves, known especially for its pink flamingos, fighting bulls and wild horses) and all around the scent of rosemary, thyme and lavender.


A short 25 minutes drive north is the beautiful walled city of Avignon - a UNESCO World Heritage Site – the medieval city of Popes, with the biggest gothic palace in the world.

Pont de Guard – also a World Heritage Site – the incredible triple height aqueduct bridge built by the Romans, which delivered pure water to the Roman baths and fountains at Nîmes to the west, with its impressive Roman arena.

To the south, the city of Arles with its roman arena (holdings 20,000 spectators) and the nearest beach at St. Maries de la Mer (¾ hour’s drive).

The Camargue offers wonderful opportunities to ride, bicycle and walk in this fascinating area. There is also excellent riding, cycling and walking in the Alpilles hills close to St Remy and Les Baux de Provence. Bicycles can be hired in several local villages and there are a number of nearby livery stables.

Heated swimming pool - dimensions: 18m x 6m - security cover. The pool is heated from June to September at no extra cost if the outside temperature is reasonable. On the other hand, if the heating is desired a little too early in the season then a supplement will be requested of 100 €/day

Additional maid service starting from  25 €/ 30 € per hour on request

Guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival, extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or garbage disposal required will be charged against the Security deposit
